new second email account won't send or receive

I remember this problem initially in Entourage with my first account.
All set-up done, yet message says "cannot send" for that address...?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
