New symbol: for MS Office

M

Please include a new symbol for Office. It is a circle with a horizontal
line through it. It is used in science writing and is normally a superscript.
It would be extremely useful for science teachers and scientists generally.
It is called a plimsol and means standard conditions in a chemical reaction.

You can use 019F, alt+x and superscript the symbol. You can customize the way you use
it.

Another similar symbol is 2296 (in Arial Unicode MS). But there is nothing
Microsoft can do to add symbols to fonts; this is a foundry/Unicode issue.

If the line should extend to the left and right of the circle, you could also put an "o" and an "Em dash" (Alt+Ctrl+Num- or Alt+8212 or 2014 Alt+X) on top of each other with an EQ field as explained in Suzanne's article http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Overbar.htm

{ EQ \o(o,---)}

Using the font "Arial", this looks pretty good.

Regards,
Klaus
