New to Excel XP

Our company just upgraded (downgraded) to Excel XP and we
are seeing a lot of changes for the first time.

First, is there a way for Excel XP to look and act like
earlier versions? We particularly dislike the way a
window appears when you create a pivot table that has the
data sheet items listed. Also, when you paste something,
a little paste icon appears in the middle of the screen.
Can this be turned off?

Any other hints for a new Excel XP user?

To answer your second question: Tools|Options, open Edit tab, uncheck Show
Paste Options button
