New Vista and Old Publisher

I'm super pleased with Vista Home Premium and its ability to fix old programs
from old operating systems to work. I transfered every file from my old
Win98 computer to my new Vista operated machine with no problems. My MS
Office '97 installed flawlessly. Every program works like normal......every
one except Publisher '98.

I get an error message that MS Pub cannot open QS98.dll because "Not enough
memory or the application is corrupt". I don't think 3GB memory is the
issue. And I replaced the QS98.dll with a fresh copy off the net.

The Vista Compatibility Mode (program) has no effect.

Ideas? Thanks

This error message can appear when the file Biz1logo.jsp is corrupted.
The Biz1logo.jsp is usually found in *My Documents.* Rename it to Biz1logo.old.
Publisher will re-create the file.

This is always nice to have when you have older versions of Publisher

Mary....Yea, I did see that article. I had changed the extension from .jsp
to .old.
It still didn't work. I still get the sam QL98.dll error.

I forgot to mention I even uninstalled the program, and tried to reinstall
the program. Shortly into the installation, I would get the message that
"Windows is unable to lopen MSPub.exe" and I would have to abort.

Do you have Norton? Or any other anti-virus software? Disable it and install
again. Be certain you have a default printer enabled.

You could install in safe mode.

Maybe you can successfully register the .dll
Run, enter

regsvr32 qs98.dll
