Everytime I open a new word document the cursor starts half way down the
page, I have tried to reset the margins etc but I cannot get the cursor to
start at the top of the page

It is poor netiquette to multipost. It's only been 12 minutes since the
last time you asked this question. Yammering the same question
repeatedly, redundantly, and incessantly is more likely to get you
ignored rather than answered.
