New year - new cube? Please help!

Unfortunately it seems like you can't restore archived resource plans by
using Server Settings -> Administrative Restore. We're starting to get lots
of old proposals (with resource plans) which we want to delete from the PWA
but still have some kind of "history"/archive for these old resource plans.

I'm sorry for this dumb question, but is it possible to create a new
Analysis Services database, e.g. for every new year, and then switch between
the different Analysis Services databases in our Data Analysis views? Here's
what I have in mind:

We have a Analysis Services database named "OLAP_08". At the end of the year
we delete our old proposals + inactive resources and then enter a new
Analysis Services database name, "OLAP_09", in Server Settings -> Build
Settings. At the next Cube Build, the new Analysis Services database
"OLAP_09" will be created. Now we have the possibility to switch between the
Analysis Services databases in our Data Analysis views, which means that the
deleted proposals and resources will show up in the "OLAP_08" databse but not
in the "OLAP_09" database.

Is this even possible or do you have any better way to solve this? Any kind
of help is appreciated!
