Newb Query Question

C

Cardinal

I am using Access 2003. I am trying to create a query that returns
only records for todays date. I've tried now() and date()
unsuccessfully. Can someone give me hint on what to try? Thank you.

Dear friend,

Does your table has a date field which is automatically recorded using the
current date or time?

If there is such a field and the recording date is recorded then use (in
your query) the critiria under tha field =date().

If there is such a field and the recording date and the time is recorded then
using an empty column in your query type:

MyDate: CDate(Int([YourDateField])) and use the same criteria as mentioned
above.

Sounds as if your date field also contains a time (other than midnight). So
to get any matches you are going to need to get the range of dates plus times
for the current date.

Field: [Recording Date]
Criteria: >=Date and < DateAdd("d",1, Date())
