newbie needs help making queries from code

Go to your Tools\Reference and find "MS DAO 3.6 Object Library" an
select it and bring it to the top

Same...i tried restarting Access in case it needed to load it for th
first time. Still no luck. I will be away from my computer for a coupl
hours. Thanks so much for trying to help me with this.

If you do not mind and if the database is not that big, can you zip an
send it over so I can take a look at it. or reduce the database t
sizeable databse and send it over. My e-mail is (e-mail address removed)

Very sorry for NOT listening...

When I added the DAO reference I moved it up the priority list until it
was directly underneath that last selected item. However, ADO was still
above it. I moved DAO above ADO and it worked immediately.

..Seek "=" int_contactID

is that some sort of LIKE search? I get compile errors on this line...
