hey all,

i'm wanting to incorporate digital signatures in my forms but i have some
question from the start.

So, digital signatures can be used to replace and actual hand-written
signature?

if digital signatures are based on user id can a system administrator change
the password for that particular user and use his/her signature to sign a
form?

No, It's a unique id for one computer and he has no password! Your
question is very interessant but I think you have to go on msdn see in
infopath SDK and read the documentation! It's really good explain
