Hello,

I am new to FrontPage. The question I have is that I would like to create a
page that looks like the home page of MSN.com. How would I go about doing
this?

The quickest way would be to display the page in your browser, go to the VIEW
drop down menu, select PAGE SOURCE, and copy this into your Front Page. I
suppose you could also tell front page to get the pages for you, importing
them, but I think you'd end up with many files you wouldn't want.

Anyhow, you would quickly notice that most of your picture areas are dead,
because you're not going to want those pictures anyhow, but the layout would
remain the same. I suppose you could then insert your own photos, edit the
text (but don't delete it, just highlight and type so you retain the same
font, size, etc) and you could have a reasonable copy of the page. Why you
would WANT this is beyond me, though. It's hardly going to fool anyone, and
as layouts go-- you could do better.

Look at the code. No Front Page used on that site!!

you'll never be able to do that using front page, buy dreamweaver - even then
it will be tough!

Why can't the page be created in FP? If it can be created in Dreamweaver, then it can be created FP
or any other HTML editor or even notepad.

But you would have to have a working understanding of the code,
wouldn't you?
I am constantly in code view editing, but maybe I'd be better off it I
had not started with nothing but code 1st. With that old CpM computer,
if you didn't do code, you didn't do anything!! ;-)

It can be done with CSS, but you would need a understanding of CSS or it can be done with basic
tables & nested tables.
