Newly Acquired Strange Behavior

I use Outlook Express for newsgroup reading. In the message list pane
instead of requiring a double click on a message to open the message
contents in a separate window it now does this with a single click. I have
not changed any settings in Outlook Express through any of the pull down
menus.

Any help would greatly be appreaciated.
