Newly added fields in XML schema are grayed out in Infopath form hosted on
Sharepoint (MOSS 2007)
Hi,
I have been fighting an issue with newly added fields to a xml schema. The
new schema works fine for new forms but if I open any old form the newly
added field is not enterable. The newly added fields are grayed out or
disabled. I am using Infopath 2007 and form is hosted on MOSS 2007.
Here is the scenario I am having the problem:
1) Publish form that has <MySection><MyFormElement1 /></ MySection>
2) Create a form MyForm1.xml using the above form
3) Modify the schema to add new element to MySection i.e.
<MySection><MyFormElement1 /><MyFormElement2 /></ MySection> and save/publish
the same
4) Open MyForm1.xml to fill in data for MyFormElement2 but it is not
possible as the element is grayed out or disabled.
How can I enable MyFormElement2 in MyForm1.xml so that user can fill in
value?
Any help to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
