news server folder has disappeared

Hi

The news server folder (with four ms newsgroups I had selected), above
the "Mail Views" folder, has disappeared. This hasn't happened to me
before.

If the news server is indeed gone, you can re-create it. Go to Tools >
Accounts, and click the "News" tab. Click the "New" button, and create a
new entry that looks like this:
Account name: Microsoft News Server
News server: msnews.microsoft.com

You should choose an e-mail account to use as well. Then, the Microsoft
News Server should appear in the Folder List so that you can subscribe to
and read newsgroups.
