Newsgroup Views

I'm sorry if this is a basic question but I have just moved to MS Office for
Mac and I'm finding newsgroups a real pain.

In Outlook Express, you can view the messages threaded and in 'sent' order.
No matter what I have tried in entourage I cannot do this. The only way it
seems to show newsgroups threaded is in alphabetical order.

I must be missing something really simple here, but I can't find.

Please help before I pull out all my hair,

Regards,

Hi Mike,

You're not missing anything. Entourage just won't do it. This is one of
the most requested features for Entourage and we're all hoping it will show
up in a near future version.

Meanwhile, there are several workarounds. Here's my favorite: I read the
newsgroups in Sent (chronological) order. When I get to a post where I need
to see the entire thread, I click on Subject to re-sort alphabetically.
When I'm done with that thread, I return to Sent order.

You can't sort threaded message. Here's from Entourage help:

============================================================================
I can't sort a list of threaded messages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Microsoft Entourage does not support sorting a list of threaded messages. To
sort messages that are part of a thread, try filtering the Message list by
the subject of the thread, and then sorting the list by a specific field,
such as From.
