Hello,

I use Outlook 2000, how do I configurate the program that when I clikc
view>go to>news, it doesn't automatically goes to Outlook Express. I would
like to view the newsgroups in Outlook not outlook express because the mails
go to Express when I viewing the newsgroups in Express. It is very
inconvinence as I have to forward all the mails from Express back to
Outlook.

Thanks
David

Outlook is part of the Office family of products. Its market is
different than for "personal" products, like Outlook Express. Outlook
does not support NNTP (network news transfer protocol). Outlook is a
PIM (personal information manager) with e-mail added. Outlook Express
supports NNTP. Outlook Express is free because the NNTP client market
is already flooded with freebie or super cheap NNTP clients. You will
use Outlook Express as your NNTP client, or another of your choosing.
Selecting News inside of Outlook or Internet Explorer just runs Outlook
Express.

Stop using Outlook Express as your e-mail client if you really want
Outlook to be your e-mail client. Set Outlook to be the default e-mail
client. Disable or remove all e-mail accounts in Outlook Express. Use
Outlook Express ONLY for newsgroups. The posts in newsgroups are NOT
e-mails! Neither are posts in forums, chat rooms, or instant
messengers. Those are different formats.
