If you're using the news.microsoft.com server, you'll only see
Microsoft-sponsored newsgroups, but your ISP may host a newsserver. For
example, my ISP is Indigo, so I have access to the news.indigo.ie server.
Alternatively, you can browse newsgroups via a web interface such as
http://groups.google.com
