Only with third-party add-ins, which, I can assure you are not half as good
as using a dedicated news reader such as Outlook Express or Windows Mail or
Thunderbird etc etc.

Only by using the same method as previous versions - with Outlook Express.
(Vista's mail also works)

Outlook. product page is: http://mapilab.com/outlook/nntp/

There is an Outlook Newsreader. It is Outlook Express but the title has been
changed and the e-mail possibilities have been deleted.
See at: http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2003/20031201.htm

If you use "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews in the
shortcut, it will start.

At: http://www.howto-outlook.com/downloads you can download a reg-file that
sets Outlook as the default newsreader and tags the Outlook Express
newsreader as Outlook Newsreader.
It also works with Outlook 2007.

If you use Go to > News in Outlook the program is still Outlook Express. If
you use the above options the program will say Outlook Newsreader although
it's in fact Outlook Express.
Strange.
