Hi, remember all the times i downloaded the trial versions today trying to
find outlook? Well, i did find it and it installed, but i guess i didn't do
it quick enough.

Now my trial period has expired. And none of the office software functions.

Any ideas how to get out of this pickle?

My suggestion would be to fall back on whatever version of Office you were
using prior to trying Office 2007. Or if you can wait, Office 2007 goes on
sale Jan 30th.

From your posts you've mixed and matched a couple of Office 2007 vesrsions (Standard and Professional). My guess is that you have
managed to get things a bit confused in the registry, perhaps.

What Office 2007 programs/suites are listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel.

If you have only one, then locate and rename the file Data.dat in an \Office Genuine Advantage folder then restart the PC and then
reactivate Office 2007 trial edition what are the results?

list and did find a data.dat file in the advantage folder. It was modified
earlier (august) so might not have been the relevent registry holder.

Changed the name anyway. rebooted. started office put in my pin and it
configured. Still out of date!

Darn. I don't even think office is available to buy on line for awhile.
Going to be tough without email, word etc.

find the TR2 that will extend the beta for several months

Technical release 2

Perhaps someone can upload it for you or you can find it on torrent or
something...
because since off2007 is rtm they have pulled it off the servers
