Hi - can anyone help me with this.
My colleague & I are unable to display the ""Apply to master" button at all
- we seem to be the only ones in the team suffering from this, & I can find
nothing different in our options or settings.
As noted in a previous thread / answer, we do not have the "Multiple
Masters" box ticked. I'm sure this is a simple switch / option problem, but
I'm obviously overlooking something. We are all on PP2003, my colleague has
SR2 & the rest of the team are a combination of no SR, SR1 or SR2.
Any assistance gratefully received
Thanks in advance
Nick

I don't remember if you checked this yet, but here goes...
Go to Tools--> Options--> Edit tab. Are any of the last three boxes checked?
I know you already checked the Multiple masters box, but the one that I am
specifically thinking might be checked is the new animation effects. Because
this enables the old style animations, it removes that button.

Oh - Just realized something... Do you have any animations on your
placeholders? If not, does adding one make the option appear? It seems that
master animations can only be applied to the slide if a placeholder is
animated. (Which, I will admit, I never noticed before... Wonder if
something changed that....)

Thanks for the interest, Kathy. Sadly....
None of the 3 boxes ticked ( tried ticking, restarting PP, removing,
restarting PP, just in case)
Animations are on placeholders, (removed them, saved, restarted PP, readded
- still no joy).
The same presentation is being used to test this amongst the team, which
would seem to suggest application setings rather than presentation
elements.....?

Still holding out hope of a solution....

SUCCESS ! This is probably the obvious to those who know..

I go into View/Master/Slide master, then from the Slide Master View Toolbar,
click the "Insert new slide master" icon (probably the 1st icon) - Presto ! -
the "Appy to Master" button appears, and stays visible when I close the
Master view.

Using it will probably only amend the new slide master, but I can work on
that.

Thanks for your help, Kathy - you definately pointed me in the right
direction.
