no automatic lock-out

Thanks for any help.
At work, we have a Bloomberg Professional terminal, which some people use
for treasury yield quotes, etc. I have my own Windows account on it, and
there is also a general account that most people use, which everyone knows
the password for. What happens alot is that people use their general account,
then when I go to use it, the computers says that it is locked (the general
account). So what I do is log in on the general account, then log off. After
about 2 minutes of the computer doing its work, I can then log on to my
account.
I do this everyday, and the 2 minutes is getting to be a hassle. Is there a
way to disable the lock-out feature, so that even if someone logs on to the
general account, then doesn't use it for 10 minutes or whatever, and forgets
to log off, it does not ask me to relog on to the general account? That way I
can log on to my account right away.
Thanks again.

This isn't related to to MS Office applications. Perhaps you would be
time ahead talking to your IT support folks about your setup.
