No Baseline after each update

Bahram

Hi,

In our PWA site (MS project 2007), we have graphical indicators to measure
our progress. When we create a project through Microsoft project
professional we set base line (tools-tracking-set baseline) and then we
publish it.
In our project center view (in /PWA site) we can see the graphical
indicators. The problem is when we update a task through PWA site (change
percentage from My task or anything that needs save and publish again) it
requires “save & publish†to get applied in project center. After we do “save
and publish†through edit project properties we lose our graphical indicators
and it shows No baseline, and in order to get the base line and graphical
indicators back we need to open the project with Microsoft project
professional, and make sure we have the base line, and then republish it
again. Wondering if there is any way to keep the base lines when we do
update/Save and publish from PWA site.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks

What is your current level of Service Packs and Cumulative Updates? Service
Pack 2 is the latest, along with the Cumulative Update of February 2010.
What you are describing was some of the buggy behavior we warned about with
publishing a project using the PWA interface PRIOR TO the release of Service
Pack 1. Let us know.

Thanks for your reply.
It helped us. I downloaded the SP2 for MS project 2007 (came with the
February 2009 cumulative update not 2010) and so far looks like it fixed our
problem.

Thank you again.

Your organization also needs to install SP2 for Project Server 2007 and for
Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 as well. Just updating the Microsoft
Project 2007 desktop client is not enough. Hope this helps. And you are
welcome for the help, my friend! :)

Hi,

In my last post by SP2 for MS project 2007 I meant that I updated &
installed SP2 for Project Server 2007 and for Windows SharePoint Services
3.0. It really helped us.
Is there any update for project professional (desktop) that we need to get?

Thank you.

Yes, you need to install SP2 on the Microsoft Project 2007 desktop client as
well. Hope this helps.
