I have had the same problem for months. When windows loads and I get to the
login screen, I login as normal. Then I get nothing but the desktop
background. No Icons, no Taskbar, nothing. I have to ctrl-alt-delete and log
off then back on again for everything to be okay. I can also ctrl-alt-delete
and end task on explorer.exe then restart it to get the same result. If I log
off, sometimes it can take multiple tries of logging back on to get my
desktop back. What is so strange, is sometimes my desktop loads just fine.

Huh...sorry, I'm not sure what to tell you.

But as I think I may have said...this really has nothing to do with
Microsoft Office. This is a Windows issue...so for better help, you
should post it to the Windows group. There's probably some fix you can
do, but I don't know what it might be. You'll have to check with a
Windows guru in their groups.

Good luck!

What? I do not know how this is getting into the office group. I have been
viewing and posting in microsoft.public.windowsxp. That is what listed in
the "in" drop-down list.
