No Disk message when I start PowerPoint

Z

Zach

I have a user who whenever he starts PowerPoint gets the Window Dialog box:
"Windows - No Disk. There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into
drive." If they click on cancel, it continues to the program and they can
work fine. I have tried updating all Windows and Office files. I tried a
repair install: didn’t correct it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS
Office into another directory and the message still appears. My current
work-around is to leave a blank disk in the A: drive and this does work, I
don't get the error message. However, I would like to correct this error and
have no idea of what my next step would be. The system in less than a year
old and is XP Pro. with SP2 loaded.

This issue does not occur when any other application is started, just
PowerPoint.

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you.
