Hello,
Outlook 2003 SP1; I have one user who leaves emails on the pop server for
two days and others who do not, the one who leaves messages will,
occasionally, not receive emails from the pop server when there are emails
there. Exiting Outlook and going back in didn't work but after a full PC
reboot, the emails get downloaded. That has happened on and off over
several months. I attributed that problem to Outlook not reading the emails
correctly as far as what has not yet been downloaded versus what has been
downloaded.
Now one of the users who does not leave emails on the pop server is having
the same problem. After their Outlook checks several times and does not
download anything, they've gone into the http interface for the email and
there are emails sitting there waiting for download.
The problem seems to be intermittent, although there may be an explanation,
and the only solution appears to be a full PC reboot.
Anyone have a thought or idea of how I might track this down?????
Thanks,
Rich
PS: Using Norton Corporate client AV, hardware firewall. Have over a dozen
users all on XP Pro SP1 (including the two problems) and everyone else works
just fine.
