No Email Option In Form

L

Larry Leinoff

Running FP 2002 and Office XP (bough FP 2002 before I upgraded to XP).
Product stinks.
Sorry.

Can't get form to send an email because the option - in form properties
- is grayed out. This used to work. But a lot of stuff in FP "used to
work" - and then it doesn't.

In this case, I was trying to get Sharepoint services to work, on a
machine running: FP 2002, FP - with Office XP, on a Windows XP Home
machine. Probably clicked a Sharepoint option in a futile attempt to
get a running IIS on this XP HOME machine, before I finally gave up.

Would appreciate any ideas - before I go and uninstall / reinstall
everything.

Used to use FP 98. I can't believe how badly they botched this product.

1. IIS or any MS Web Server is not supported under Windows XP Home

2. Extensions/SharePoint not available under Windows XP Home

3. Extensions only available on Windows XP Pro with IIS installed

4. SharePoint only available on Windows 2003 IIS6 Server if installed.

5. Forms or any other run-time component must be published to a server running the FP2000/FP2002
extensions via FP's http mode.

Windows Sharepoint Services requires Windows Server 2003 so it is no
wonder you couldn't install it.
You can't even install IIS as you only have XP Home not XP Pro.

The issue with not being able to send to email likely is because you
changed something in Tools | Page Options.
