No english dictionary in Word, only the english assistant PRC?

I have Student/Home Word 2007 in Vista. When I go to look up a word I only
see the english assistant, the english, spanish, and french thesarus, and
"translation" in the research/reference books drop down menu. Why don't I see
the standard english dictionary?
I have gone to word options/proofing and the default dictionary (the only
one I see) is loaded.
