No Group color on left hand side

When you group a project in ghantt view and select colors for the
different heirarchy levels the color bar does not extend down the left
vertical. It used to in 2003 but in 2007 it only shows up next to the
group headers. The tasks have a colored underscore next to them. It
looked a lot better before.

I am hoping that someone can tell me they are fixing this?????

Also where can we request the color orange??? It is a secondary
color, how did it get left out.

Thanks

In my copy of Project 207 the color DOES extend down the left vertical.
I'm not sure why yours does not. Are you working off a beta version?

Orange?! What? Maroon isn't close enough? :)

Hi,

For the past 5 years or so I have suggested that Microsft Project lab must
have a vivid allergy to the Dutch Royals, so vivid they do not want to offer
their color. Or is it to the Dutch national soccer team?
As none of these allegations have been negated by Microsoft, they must
definitely be true.
Yes, it's more than a shame, it's an idiocy noat to offer a color figuring
on zillion traffic lights in the universe ...

Jack,

Thanks for the response. I should have been more clear. I am using
the trial version right now it is version 12.0.4518.1014.

Also when I group, the bars show up on the left, however when you
print it or go to print preview they are messed up???.

Thanks again

We have the same version. They show up on the left side while viewing and
don't show up on the left (only on the header row) when printing. That is
the same behavior I am seeing.
Doesn't look like there is much that can be done about it at this point.

Personally on the print view I like it better this way so I'm not surprised
that it has changed.
