No indication that copied chart is on the clipboard

I want to copy a chart. I click on it to activate it, then press Ctrl+C to
put it on the clipboard. There is no indication that it is on the clipboard.
In Excel 2003, there was a moving dashed line around the chart that indicated
it was on the clipboard. In Excel 2007 there is a moving dashed line around
any range of selected data that I copy to indicate it is on the clipboard,
but not around a chart. How do I know that a copied chart is on the clipboard?

Hello,

When you press Ctrl+C to copy the chart, look at the Home tab on the upper
left side of the ribbon. At the bottom of the Home tab you'll see the word
"Clipboard". On the right side of "Clipboard", you should see a tiny box
with an arrow pointing down at the 4 o'clock position. If you click on this
box with your mouse, the Office Clipboard will appear on the left side of the
screen. An image of your chart should appear which indicates that the chart
is being stored. The "Options" button at the bottom of the Clipboard dialog
box will allow you to show the Clipboard all the times if you would like.

Thanks, John. That process is so onerous and user-hostile. It's easier just
to copy again to make sure a chart is on the clipboard, or just paste and
undo if needed. I wish Microsoft had not removed the easy, automatic, and
obvious way of letting me know that a chart was on the clipboard with a
moving dashed fence around the chart. I'm not complaining at you, but at the
designers at Microsoft. This was NOT an "improvement" from 2003 to 2007.
Perhaps you can let them know of my opinion.
