Hi
This did not work for me. I installed Access, Word etc seperately and they
for some reason do not show up in the Add/Remove programs. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Try removing all the Office files by hand (delete all relevant folders)
re-install Office, then try the solution again.

Hi Joao,
To note I also have Office 2003(trial) on my C drive which I just activated
for my 60 day trial. I went looking for the Office97 folders but everything
(2003 & 97) folders and files are mixed up in C:\program files\office\... Do
I have to go through each file/folder and determine if its 97 or 2003 and
then delete? I tried cutting out MSAccess.exe and going through the MS
article Q141373 but no changes. I still get the same message when I try to
install from the Office97 disk. Only the Office 2003 shows up in add/remove
programs.
Any ideas?
Thanks Barry

Ouch! Big mess! :)

My advice? Delete everything. Then solve the Access problem. After THAT is
solved, upgrade to 2003
