No line text box

Is there a shortcut to insert a text box with no lines rather than having to
go through Format Text Box.

I need two side-by-side text boxes which I group but which have no lines.

You could save the appropriate text box (or grouped pair of text boxes) as
an AutoText entry, but is there some reason you're not using a two-column
table?

Yes. I am typing a Schedule of Works which I have set up with two lines down
the right-hand margin (lines inserted in Header) and sometimes there is a
provisional sum which I can put in before it goes out to the contractors
for them to price up by hand. If I put the text boxes to straddle the lines,
I can put in (say) £2,000 in the first text box and then 00 in the right.

Not sure if I have explained that very well but I wouldn't use a table here!
