No Mail Seen

Help Please!

When I sign on it tells me I have mail awaiting me. Then when I go here to
Outlook and there is no mail. How can I see my mail to read the messages?
Or at least be able to take it off my screen below the login box so I cannot
see it any more!

The WIndows Login screen mail count has nothing to do with Outlook. Outlook
Express and Windows Messenger connecting to Hotmail will update that count.
