No More Projects can be Opened

I have a Master Project which has 78 other projects
inserted in them. The Master Project has not been
published. When I try to Insert to a new project I get the
error:

Mo More Projects can be Opened.
close some project files, including files that share a
resource pool or are linked to other project files and
then try again.


But th eother projects in the Master are NOT open
Whats this error msg ?

First, you should NEVER publish a master project to the
server. A master project should only be opened as a
stand-alone file on your desktop and insert files into
it. When you publish a master file your resource
allocations are doubled for every file in the master,
once for the subproject and another allocation for the
published master project. I would delete this project
(you will ave to delete all the others as well) and start
over.

I was not intending to publish the Master. Like you said I
have this Master as a standalone project in which others
files have been inserted.
So, why am I getting this error ?

What is the configuration of the machine you are
attempting to open all these files on? CPU, RAM, etc?

It doesn't matter which machine. Everywhere same pbm. It
will look as though its getting ready to iunsert and then
the error msg. As I mentioned bfore NONE of the project
files are even open when I get this error.
