"No New Fonts"

Has anybody run across the error where Excel will not
allow certain operations because it says "no new fonts can
be added to this workbook"?

I'm working with a relatively small and simple file (about
1 meg, no links to other documents, etc) that uses one or
two fonts at most, but when I try to copy a worksheet,
modify a graph, or try several other operations, I receive
the error box (sometimes there are many) with the message
mentioned above.

Any help would be appreciated.
