No New Message sound in Office Communicator after the second IM

I have sounds enabled in Office Communicator but for some reason after I
receive more than 2 messages from someone communicator feels its no longer
necessary to provide feedback with sound when I receive messages in that
particular conversation. Anyone else have this problem?
