No preview pane in Calendar?

I want to use Calendar as a diary journal as the prime function rather than a meeting scheduler, and in the same way as I used to be able to do using Apple's 'iCal' I want to see the diary contents of a date in an accompanying pane rather than have to click open a date and then close it before reviewing another date. I do not see how this is done from the available menu options, can you advise?

thanks

Sorry, but Entourage does not have a preview pane.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this feature in
future versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any
Office application.

It's not possible, I'm afraid. Send your feedback to Microsoft by clicking

You can use the ³Notes² button in Entourage to create different notes if
you¹d like as a journal/diary.

Yes there is no preview pane. But when you talk about iCal's preview
pane that is in Tiger. In Leopard they dropped that and there has been
a lot of criticism around this. You now need to constantly double
click iCal.
