I am working in PowerPoint 2010 and have created a hyperlink to open another program's file. This has always worked before but nowI am getting the message "No program registered to open this file."
I have tried to repair PowerPoint and have used the command prompt with the complete path to run the unregserver and then regserver commands as explained on the MS Office website.
Nothing works. I still get the same message. I fixed this one time on an older computer but don't remember how I did it. Is there a setting in PowerPoint that changes file associations?
There is no problem with the file association set up in Windows. I can double click on the file I am trying to open and it opens fine. The problem is in both PowerPoint and Word.
Can somebody please help me?
Thanks.
Karin
