No "Save" on File dropdown menu

Help! Suddenly there's no "Save" option on my File dropdown menu.
"Save as" is there, and the save icon works, but I like to do Alt+F+S to
save while I'm typing, and now I can't. This seems to be the case with all my
docs.

I looked under Tools/Options/Save and couldn't see anything useful there.
I tried restarting - no help.
Then I tried System Restore which I was sure would fix it - no luck.

What else can I do?

Ctrl+S will run the Save command, but you can restore the command from the
Customize dialog. Just select the command in the File category on the
Commands tab and drag it to the File menu (see "How to assign a Word command
or macro to a toolbar or menu" at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToToolbar.htm).
