No "send" command in email compose page/field

I post in July 2009

Just got my Outlook2007 up and running.

Tried to compose and send a test email.

No "send" box will display.

The account shows as "activated."

What is my problem; what do I do? I have checked Help and surfed around a
bit with no luck.

Since you quoted the word, what does "activated" mean to you so we know
what it means?

Have you actually defined an e-mail account within Outlook. Obviously
it can't send anywhere until you tell it what mail server to use.
