If you're worried about spam, tho, I'd look at SpamBayes (google it) -
freeware antispam solution I find most useful.

The junkmail feature in OL2003 is pretty good, but there wasn't too much in
previous versions that impressed me. See
http://www.slipstick.com/rules/junkmail.htm for some options. That said, I
don't bother - I use SpamBayes and it works fine for me.
