No "Shockwave Flash Object" in "More Controls"

Hi! -- For some reason, I no longer seem able to put Flash animations into my
PPT 2007 slides. I have the developer tab showing, and I've clicked on the
"More Controls" button to bring up the list window. However, there is no
option "Shockwave Flash Object" on that list! (I know what to do after that,
but since it's not there, I can't get any further!) There _is_ an entry for
"Shockwave ActiveX Control," but that doesn't produce anything that I can use
to put a Flash animation into. I've installed the most updated versions of
Flash (9.0) and Shockwave (6.0), so I know they're there, but how do I get
the "Shockwave Flash Object" option back in the "More Controls" window?

Incidentally...I admit I am curious as to why Microsoft decided to make
putting things like Flash animations into PPT 2007 so much more difficult
than it was in 2003...? In 2003, I could literally just cut 'n' paste
animations from one presentation to another, but that ability is absent in
2007. (It would be even better if one could just drag 'n' drop .swf files
onto the slide and have them be there and work!) I'm assuming that Microsoft
must have had a good reason for abandoning this capability, and I'm curious
what that reason was/is...!

Thanks for all your help!
