No sound in Wood 2008

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have lost the sound in saving word 2008. No longer the little "ding"
were might I look to get it back on?

Try Word>Preferences, General, Provide feedback with sound.

Note that these sounds were not particularly reliable in Office 2004 (they
would deactivate themselves frequently on my machine), which made me switch
them off for good. As such, I can't tell you whether any improvements have
been made in that particular area.

My save sound disappeared this week. I would really like to get it back. Is this a problem only with Word 2008?
