No Sound

Hi, I posted my question on the wrong discussion group hopefully I got the
right one this time. I recently up-loaded Windows Vista Ultimate and Office
Professional 2007 and now there is no sound for videos or just your basic
mouse clicking. I get the sound back when I restart my computer but then it
goes away does anyone know how to fix it? B LO

Have you gone to the web site of your sound card manufacturer and looked around
for an updated sound driver?

No I haven't how do I find out what type of sound card I have on my Gateway
system?

In the control panel, open the system folder, device manager, scroll down and
expand the Sound, video and game controllers.
Gateway also has available updated drivers. You maybe better off asking there.
