No Values for Actual Work Reporting in Resource Usage View

I created a "project" called Resource Utilitzation that we use to report on
time for resources working on our projects. In this project plan I added our
resources from the Project Server. When I open the Resource Usage view, it
populates all the Work Fields just fine. However, Actual Work has no values
in them unless I open that individual project at the same time. It worked
fine when I originally created the project but hasn't worked since. Why
would it report on all the Work field values correctly but not report on
Actual Work?

I do have the check box checked that asks to Load summary resource
assignments.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is this 2003 or 2007?

I have tried this in 2007 and was able to get Actuals to show under "other
project" without issue. I did see some strange behavior where sometimes the
other projects shows up but when I expand it, it has no projects even though
I know there are projects to report.

Try publishing your projects again to make sure the latest data is being
reported on.

If you are using Project Server 2003, this is standard (but annoying)
behavior. It is not a bug. It's just the way it works, like it or not.
Hope this helps.

It is 2003 but I'm not sure I understand. Does Microsoft consider this
"expected" behavior? Seems like a bug to me.

I don't know what Microsoft expects, as I do not work for them. As to
whether this is a bug or not, that's a tossup, but if it is a bug, I think
the bug would be in SharePoint and not in Project Server. Just my two
cents' worth. Thanks for asking.

Ah, maybe that's part of the confusion. The Resource Utilization field I'm
speaking of is via the full client. I posted this on the regular MS Project
site and was told it might be best to post it in the Server posting. I'm
assuming that's because I'm pulling all of the resources from the server
pool. None of this is viewing anything via PWA. Ever since upgrading to
Windows 2005 Server, our cube hasn't worked correctly. But that's another
posting for another day.
