No way to export account settings in Outlook 2007

Reading through this forum, it appears that Outlook 2007 provides no way for
me to copy account settings from one computer to another. Wow. I find that
astounding.

It's becoming painfully clear to me that I'm using an email client that
wasn't intended for small business and personal use.

Can someone recommend an rich email client that supports POP3/SMTP, custom
folders, archiving, and rules?

Thanks,
Sean

Try Outlook 2003 -> File -> Import/Export Internet Account Settings. (I
don't know if/why this feature has been removed from Outlook 2007.)

That certainly would have worked before I "upgraded" to Outlook 2007. Now,
however, not so much.

I'm really curious how the Outlook team arrived at the decision to cut this
feature. Do they think that most of their customers use Exchange? That
everyone has only one email address? That everyone has only one computer?

Try a Google search; there may be external tools available that can
export your Outlook settings.

I'll give that a try. Seems like a bummer that you have to go outside MS and
pay an extra $39.95 for a solution, though. What on earth was MS thinking???
