Non-breakable-space?

[PA 16v]

I have been unsuccessful in finding a way to do the equivalent to an "&n
b s p;" in Powerpoint.

Can someone shed some light on this mystery?

I just found out that Ctrl+Alt+Space does the trick!
Why didn't they keep it the same in Word and PP?!?

Shortcuts for PowerPoint looks like to could be usefull, but I can'
download it at work (for Information security's sake).
