"non-commercial use" in title bar.

I have a few questions. I have office 2007 with business manager via upgrade
from
retail and had it installed working great on my laptop. I then received a new
laptop with vista so i loaded my office upgrade 2007 on it and did the
internet activation. However, in the title bar for outlook, excel, word, and
powerpoint, it says "non-commerical use" on the new laptop but not on the old
one. I am still using the one on the previous laptop until i am able to
migrate my outlook data. The problem i am having now on the new one with the
"non-commercial use" in the title bar is that outlook will not let me
send/receive using a pop mail server except of the very first try after
rebooting. I suspect this is tied to the fact that it thinks it is installed
on 2 laptops. How do I resolve this? I will stop using office 2007 on my old
laptop once I am up and running on the new one. I also get the error message
in excel - "compile error in hidden module: autoexecnew" when i start excel
on the new laptop (with the non-commercial use in the title bar) and the same
error with Distmon module when I exit. I know have a several questions /
requests for assistance in my post so thank you for any assistance.

Also, i am new to vista. I can see the personal.pst file on my xp (old pc)
but I cannot see how to view the hidden/system files and folders in vista so
i can copy the outlook file over to migrate my data. Any tips on this as well?

thank you..

Did your new Laptop have a trial version of Office that you failed to
uninstall prior to installing from cd/dvd?, I suspect it did.
Uninstall all versions of Office, including any activation assistant, clear
temp files & reboot prior to installing from cd. As its an upgrade you will
need a qualifying version cd available during the installation to verify

It is not neccessary to locate the pst in its default location, simply copy
it to the Documents folder
Your outlook problem is unconnected with any other installation on another
PC, but should be resolved, by uninstalling as above. After the
reinstallation you might be advised to create a new outlook Profile and add
the data file you previously copied, together with the accounts

As DL stated above, the non-commercial use problem is caused if the Home
& Student version of Office is installed, and you do not remove it prior
to installing a upgrade commercial version.

The nice thing is... you just have to go Control Panel > Uninstall
Programs, and remove the Home & Student version.

You DO NOT need to uninstall your upgrade commercial version. It will
not be uninstalled.

MS Office checks the registry settings each time it launches and
updates them. So what happens is after uninstalling the Home & Student
Version, when you relaunch Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as they come up,
you will temporarily see the non-commerical banner in the titlebar, and
then in a few seconds, the non-commerical banner will disappear
(FOREVER) from the title bar.

I did this on a new HP laptop, after installing Office Ultimate and
without having removed the trial version of Office Home & Student first.
It worked perfectly, I did not have to re-install anything from Office
Ultimate, and I got back 340MB of disk space that was being wasted by
the trial version.

Hope this helps everyone who has this problem.

I would hope that the newer Office 07 CDs have made the install over trial
version simpler and more reliable. The major hassles occurred with the
original Office 07 install CD's and P/Cs with OEM Vista and a trial install
of OEM provided Office 07 student. It's quite possible that if eveything was
done exactly correctly, under "controlled conditions", the problem would not
have occurred for an individual user. Sadly, there are a lot of variations
that can occur from one install to another.
