non compatability 2000 with Vista

OK. I understand 2000 is a dinosaur. Bought new computer with Vista.
All I care about is temporarily accessing contacts so I can salvage info.
If I use another computer with XP could I access contacts that way?
Thanks,
Joy

So are you claiming that Outlook 2000 will not install under Windows
Vista?

If the "problem" is that you don't want to install the dinosaur on
your shiny new OS because later you'll be using something else, why
not use VMWare Server or Virtual PC (both free) to install an instance
of Windows in a virtual machine and do the OL2000 install there? Then
when you are done, you can transfer the data to CD/DVD-R, use FTP to
move it to your host OS, or use file sharing to move the files.

Outlook 2000 appears to work OK on Vista if you install it in
Corporate/Workgroup mode.

Sure. You have to move your PST from the old PC to the new one. See this:
