noob needs help with a problem.

I hope someone can help me.

In trying to create a web page with interactive updates, I'm unable to link
pages together. Perhaps I have caused a logic problem. Hopefully someone can
help me please.

Here's the scenario:
I have 25 students, each doing 6 subjects and there's a collective (total)
score based on different weightages.

I used excel for students and subjects' marks, and a web page for each
student including their other activities and personal details. And I hoped
that I can make a main page with a table listing each student with their
marks listed, when as results of each subject is released, the table will
update itself (as I update the excel page with all students and subjects) so
that the list of students on the main web page will sort according to their
collective score at that time. (I'm having trouble getting all the other
values to follow each name as well) At the same time, hyperlink each name so
they lead to the students personal page, also with an update of marks for
each student.

In short, I am hoping to update one page manually and have all the other
pages update themselves accordingly.

Am I being too ambitious?

Any help will be very much appreciated.
