We had an interesting encounter in my advanced word class today. Our
assignment was to edit the normal.dot file so that it would always include
our name and other information when we opened a new document. However, she
was unable to find the normal.dot file on a couple of the student's
computers. I know that Microsoft won't open a new, blank document without
the normal.dot so I found it very odd. We tried to change the default
margins and it still didn't create a normal.dot file. I even tried to
change Windows to view all hidden files through the Folders view option....
still no normal.dot. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
