Mike S.
I have a few users who are receiving an error message in
Word: "The file is in use by another application or user"
and it is referencing NORMAL.DOT on the local drive
(C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\...\Normal.dot).
The system OS is Windows 2000 SP2 with Word 2002 SP2. It
happens when they revise an existing document on the file
server and then try to save the changes (but it does not
happen 100% of the time). If they click OK at the
message, close out and restart Word, the changes are saved
and they can move to the next document.
The server people think it's a deskto problem, but I don't
think so. I think something on the server side is holding
it. Any ideas?
Thanks
